Once you’ve\nidentified employers that interest you, conduct some research to determine what\ntypes of positions exist within the organization. Are you interested in and\nqualified for any of these positions? The program objectives, student profiles, expected exit\nprofiles, benefits of taking part in the placement process for the program and\nsalary expectations of the students are shared with the employers. The\nPlacement Cell also seeks information on the number and nature of openings\nwhich the employers may fulfill through this program to assist in the creation\nof a large funnel. Finally the employers are asked to share their recruitment\nprocess information so that students can be prepared for the same.
\n
\nOrganizing Placements :<\/strong> \n\nDepending on the nature of the program, the\nplacement process could be through a placement fair, Campus activity. In the\njob fair approach the local centres arrange the infrastructure and mobilise\nstudents for day long placements. The Placement Cell ensures the participation\nof a large number of employers in these fairs. The employers conduct interviews\nand issue employment letters to selected candidates.

\nThe placement process is tracked to ensure that each student gets to appear in\na minimum of 3 interviews, preferably from different types of organisations.
